An upcoming event in Lacey will raise funds to help local homeowners.
The Lacey Community Center will be the location of the upcoming “#BuildItBreakfast,” where participants will enjoy a catered buffet breakfast, a jewelry raffle, a live auction and a silent auction, and special guest speakers. In addition, teams of five people will have a chance to take part in a Birdhouse Making Competition. Organizers of events like this will often create advertising for them using poster printing.
Participants will have a chance to “Fill the Hard Hat” by making donations. The funds will be used to continue making critical ADA modifications and home repairs to the region’s most vulnerable homeowners. Last year, donations and volunteer efforts helped 80 people, some of whom will be at the event to share their experiences.
The breakfast is an event that is part of the mission of Rebuilding Together Thurston County, a non-profit organization that makes handicap modifications and free repairs to homeowners with low income. It also provides these services to other nonprofits to improve their facilities. The organization was founded in 2003 and is one of over 100 affiliates throughout the nation working to help those struggling financially.
The #BuildItBreakfast is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, and will take place at the Lacey Community Center. The doors will open at 7:15 am, and the program starts at 7:45 am.
