Fun paint event scheduled in Lacey

Anyone who would like to try their hand at fine art has a chance to do so soon.

Painting with a Twist is the host of an upcoming painting party. People who visit the studio will paint their own version of a work by a local artist. The studio holds these events frequently, with a variety of subjects. The painting on this evening is a landscape, done mostly in blues and greens, with a colorful sunrise coming up behind a mountain range. It is titled “A New Beginning,” which is fitting for a painting of the new day.

Painting with a Twist is not a bring-your-own-bottle organization. However, non-alcoholic beverages as well as cider and beer will be available for purchase, and people are welcome to bring snacks if they like.

The fee includes all supplies necessary to complete the painting, as well as instruction. The painting is 16”x20”, and people will be able to take their work home with them

Since part of the attraction of the event is the chance to get together with friends, people may come as early as 30 minutes before the official start of the event so they can chat.

The event is scheduled for January 8, beginning at 7.00 pm. The fee is $42, and the evening is limited to those 21 and older. Painting with a Twist is located at 5831 Lacey Boulevard SE, and could consider using flyer printing to create a handout for participants.
