An upcoming auto event will help support an important Thurston County non-profit organization.
Kluh Jewelers 5th annual Classics & Cool Rides Car Show is organized and hosted by Kluh Jewelers, who are fundraising for All Kids Win. Everyone is encouraged to bring their classic cards, vintage cars, street rods, hot rods, and muscle cars and show them off. Food, customized dash plaques, and trophies are all part of the fun.
Kluh Jewelers is family owned and operated, and was established in 1958 by Sissie and Ted Kluh. The store is known for supporting the community, and its selection of jewelry.
All Kids Win provides food Bags for the weekend to students in middle school and high school in Olympia, Tumwater, and North Thurston, and students in grades K-12 in Rochester, Yelm, Rainier, and Tenino. The organization’s vision is to provide food to help break the cycle of hunger and insecure housing situations. The weekend bags include items like chili and oatmeal.
The car show is scheduled for Saturday, July 12th from 1.00 pm until 4.30 pm at Kluh Jewelers, at 810 Sleater Kinney Road SE in Lacey. The Awards Ceremony will be held at 4.00 pm. The entry fee for those who want to show off their ride is $20 for early registration, and $30 the day of the event. The show is free, but donations are appreciated. Events like this can be improved if organizers work with flyer printing to create handouts to advertise in the local area.
