Annual fun returns to Lacey

An event that has taken place annually since 1988 is coming back to Lacey.

The Lacey Spring Fun Fair is a free event that has provided entertainment and activities for thousands of people over the years. This year’s fair will include food concessionaires, vendors, live performances, and wild rides. There is still time for vendors who are interested to join in the fun. New for 2024 is a S.T.E.M. fair, where visitors can learn about the fun of math, engineering, technology, and science, courtesy of local organizations and businesses.

Sensory Tool House LLC is setting up a Sensory Recovery Area where visitors will find a quiet environment with low lighting, comfortable seating, and visual aids that will help in sensory regulation. The center is open to anyone of any age who needs a moment to step away from the excitement of the fair for a moment.

Organizers note that on-site parking is limited, but there are free shuttles running to the fair from South Sound Center. The shuttles run every 15 minutes between Saint Martin’s University and the center.

The fair runs for two full days, May 18, from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm, and May 19, from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm. There will be a car show on May 19, and the location is Saint Martin’s University at 5300 Pacific Avenue SE, and the shuttles run during these hours. Organizers of events like this will often work with poster printing to create advertising for them.
