A workshop is scheduled in Issaquah to help students determine the correct major and career for them.
The upcoming “Art of Adulting - Personal Self-Assessment for College and Career Interest,” event will be facilitated by Deanna Carlisle, who is a Career Development Coach with Youth Career Compass. The workshop is designed to assist students in high school in discovering their unique interests, talents, and gifts, and how they can use these qualities to build a fulfilling career based on a wise choice of college paths.
Youth Career Compass helps young people realize where their true interests and talents lie so they can pursue a fulfilling career based on working in the area that is of greatest importance to them. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees, explaining the aim of the workshop.
At the moment, the event is scheduled to be held in person, but if recommended by health experts, it will switch to a Zoom meeting. If the in-person event goes ahead, students should note that King County requires attendees to provide proof of having been vaccinated against COVID; they can also take a test at the site, which must be negative, or they will not be admitted.
The workshop is scheduled for January 9, from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm, at Blakely Hall, which is at 2550 Northeast Park Drive in Issaquah.
