Issaquah’s Salmon Days, which has grown to become a major regional event, is scheduled to make its return this weekend.
The Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce will once again be presenting the 52nd annual Salmon Days, and it will celebrate the many species of this fish that can be found in area rivers. While some of the activities may have had to be adjusted or eliminated altogether due to Covid-19, many of the parts of the festivities will be returning, although most of them will not be open to children. A shuttle service to various events will be available.
The organizers have plans underway for a food court as well as booths for not-for-profit groups, and it typically draws thousands of people. Various oversized games will be set up, and an escape room experience will be on offer. A beer and wine tent will keep everyone from getting thirsty, and there will also be demonstrations by “Dock Dogs.”
Many organizers of events of this type have had to reimagine them due to Covid. Print shops will be able to help, and they can meet with their customers online, in person, or over the phone.
This year's Issaquah Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Salmon Days from this Saturday, October 2 to Sunday, October 3 at various locations throughout the community.
