One of the biggest festivals in Washington State is returning to Issaquah for the 54th time.
Salmon Days will bring local entertainment, wine, beer, BBQ, food, craft, arts, children’s activities, and lots of fish to Issaquah. The celebration was created in 1970 to replace Labor Day celebrations, which were growing less popular, and to recognize the importance of salmon to Issaquah. It has grown from a local event to a party spanning an entire weekend, complete with a paid director and themed merchandise, though it is still hosted by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.
There is a lot to do during Salmon Days, but finding a spot to watch the salmon coming back is the main attraction. There are spots throughout downtown where fish watching is ideal. Other attractions include food vendors, arts, and crafts vendors.
Live entertainment is always part of the fun, and this year’s lineup includes several tribute bands, outfits playing old-fashioned rock, and performances by groups from the School of Rock. Organizers of huge events of this nature often use flyer printing as a way of informing attendees with a detailed itinerary of activities that can be enjoyed.
The 2023 Salmon Days, Jammin’ with the Salmon, is set for October 7 and 8, from 10.00am until 6.00pm, throughout downtown Issaquah. Some streets will be closed to vehicles.
