Popular event returns to Issaquah

An event that is one of the highlights of the summer is on the schedule in Issaquah.

The Downtown Issaquah Wine & ArtWalk encourages participants to explore the city’s downtown on foot, visiting businesses, boutiques, and Olde Town galleries. Winemakers from some of the best vineyards in Washington State will be on hand, pouring their wines so walkers can enjoy the vintages as they stroll.

Participating wineries include Water From Wine, Uva Furem, Smoky Rose Cellars, Capri Cellars, and Bacovino.

The Wine Walk is one of the most popular events in the city, so anyone interested should purchase tickets now. A new VIP experience has been added this year, and is limited to 50 participants. VIPs will enjoy a reception with Capri Cellars’ owner, a souvenir glass, a vintner encounter, and exclusive wine tastings. The VIP ticket is $75, and participants will be checking in at Capri Cellars, starting at 5:00 pm.

People participating in the general walk will check in at 5.30 pm, at the historic Shell Station, which is where the walk starts. People are asked to bring their own glass, and to be prepared for walking and standing, as well as the weather.

The walk is July 21, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The general admission ticket price is $35 in advance, and $45 at the event, if any are left. Organizers of this type of event can make the experience more fun by using flyer printing to create maps of the route.
