Warm weather brings outdoor fun events to many communities, which often includes concerts.
Issaquah is one of the cities that has a concert series in the summer, and there is still time to plan to attend the performances.
Upcoming bands are the Abbagraphs, Blue Velvet Groove, New Blues Revue, Nite Wave, and Rumor 6. As their name implies, the Abbagraphs perform the music of the legendary Swedish group ABBA. The original band’s hits include “Mamma Mia” and “Dancing Queen.
Blue Velvet Groove is a cover band playing disco, funk, and soul tunes, and the New Blues Revue is a tribute band for the New Blues Brothers, which is itself a tribute band for the original Blues Brothers (the band formed by Jim Belushi and Dan Ackroyd).
Nite Wave plays dance classics from the 1980s, and Rumor 6 is also a dance band playing music designed to get people up and moving.
The concerts are held on the Issaquah Community Center Green, and are scheduled to run from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. The Kiwanis Club has concessions, but attendees are asked not to bring their furry friends, or alcohol of any kind.
The Abbagraphs perform August 1, Blue Velvet Groove on August 8, the New Blues Revue on August 15, Nite Wave on August 22, and Rumor 6 winds up the series on August 29. When they plan events like this, organizers can use banner printing to create backdrops for the artists.
