One of the signature events in Issaquah is coming up.
For the 53rd year, the Salmon Days Festival will be celebrated in Issaquah. “Livin’ the Stream” will bring vendors, live entertainment, and good food and drink to those attending the event. Applications are still being accepted from individual vendors, but in general, applicants include small retailers, non-profits, food vendors, and those in the arts and crafts field.
Some of the activities include a Dockdogs competition, a chalk art contest, an obstacle course designed to be kid friendly, and salmon barbeque courtesy of the local Kiwanis Club. The city’s salmon hatchery will be open for visitors, and Wine & Beer Gardens will be located at Sunset Way and Front Street.
Live entertainment makes events like these great fun, and the line-up this year promises a wide variety. There are two stages – the Community Center Stage and Streaming Live Lounge. Bands appearing on the Community Center Stage on the first day of the festival are The Vandalls, Diamond Star Halo, and Groove Nation. The day ends with a Tribute to Alan White. The second day brings The Dogtones, The Pioneer Squares, Gimme Shelter, and The Kennydales. The Streaming Live Lounge will stream performances by more than 20 bands over the two days.
Salmon Days is set for October 1 and 2 in downtown Issaquah. When events like these are planned, organizers can use flyer printing to create guides for attendees.
