People who are curious about local ecology and how it relates to watersheds should take note of classes coming up in Issaquah.
Cascade Water Alliance and Nature Vision are teaming up to offer adults free classes where they can learn about ecology and watersheds. An upcoming get-together features a field trip to Confluence Park in Issaquah where one of Nature Vision’s educators will provide instruction to the class. The subjects covered in the class will be local wildlife, plants, and ecology, and there will be a discussion about water as a resource that is shared throughout the region. Participants will test samples of water, examine aquatic insects, and learn how to keep water healthy and abundant. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create handouts for class members.
Cascade Water Alliance is a municipal corporate with seven members, two sewer and water district and five cities, that joined to provide water to communities in the region. Nature Vision is a nonprofit organization that teaches environmental education programs in local greenspaces and schools.
The class is obviously outdoors, and will be held September 24, from 1.00 pm until 3.30 pm. The class is open to those age 18 and over only, and will be capped at 30 participants who must reside in Issaquah. Although there is no fee for the class, those who are interested are asked to register by 5.00 pm on September 21.
