Issaquah will be the place to be next month for people who enjoy fine dining and beverages.
The Rotary Club of Issaquah is the host for the annual Grape Escape, an event at which attendees can enjoy samples of beverages from a craft brewery, six local distilleries, and 15 wineries in the local area. Local restaurants will also be on hand to serve small plates, and a silent auction is planned. Attendees may also purchase spirits and wine to enjoy later. Since the Escape is a fundraiser to support Rotary, which is a non-profit organization, no state sales tax will be charged.
Among the participating wineries are Amavi Cellars, Sol Stone Winery, Drum Roll Wines, and many more. Craft beer is made by Big Block Brewing, and the distilleries include Heritage Distilling and Duvall Distillery. Tuta Bella and Krawbar are among the restaurants, and Ben & Jerry’s is listed as providing desserts. The list may expand before the date of the event. Occasions like this are the perfect place for attendees to exchange Business Cards.
Event hosts note that guests should be prepared to follow the COVID guidelines set by the state at the time. If it is necessary to cancel the evening due to state mandates, purchases will be refunded in full.
The event will be held at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah on April 20, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The cost is $45 per person, plus a small fee for credit card use.
