Issaquah to honor those who make a change

The 35th annual Community Awards Banquet will be returning to Issaquah this May. Several community organizations are set to participate in honoring residents who have helped to improve their city in some way. The event is hosted by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.

Some of the organizations expected to participate include the Rotary Club, Issaquah School's Foundation, and Eastside Fire and Rescue. Among the awards that will be handed out during the evening are Citizen of the Year, Hall of Fame inductee, Public Education Advocate, and Lifesaver Award. The Rotary Club of Issaquah is also set to honor its students of the year.

Attendees will enjoy a cash bar and a sit-down dinner before the awards presentations begin. There will be plenty of opportunities for community leaders, business owners, and the general public to network during the evening.

No doubt many Issaquah residents will be happy to talk about their own businesses with their peers. Business card printing companies may find they are getting more calls in advance of the banquet.

The Community Awards Banquet is taking place on May 22 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Tickets are $50 before May 12 and $60 after, although a venue has yet to be confirmed by the Chamber.
