Issaquah Heritage Day Forms part of the downtown July 4th celebrations and provides guests with the opportunity to participate in events in the style of those completed in days long gone past.
Now in its 12th year, this event is sponsored by the Issaquah History Museum. Poster printing, flyer printing, and postcard printing may have been used to advertise this historic event to people in this community and the surrounding regions.
As part of the Heritage Day celebration, guests will have hands-on experience with tasks completed by the people who lived long ago including washing and wringing out clothes to dry, churning fresh homemade butter, and operating a historic pumping car, plus a number of other activities and events that took place in the old days.
A family event, it will provide children with first-hand experience about the way their ancestors lived and worked, and is therefore a chance for parents to share their history with their young ones. All children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some of this event occurs on the grounds, so guests are reminded to dress appropriately and bring sunscreen.
This is a free event and everyone is invited by the Issaquah History Museum to attend. It will be happening on Wednesday, July 4, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Issaquah History Museum Depot located at 150 First Street in downtown Issaquah, Washington.
