An attraction in Issaquah is offering a tours that should be both exciting and interesting.
TreeHouse Point is an unusual retreat/bed and breakfast establishment featuring treehouses that can be rented by people who would like to stay somewhere different. TreeHouse Point has also become popular as a meeting place for businesses that are team building, or working out new projects and ideas inspired by their surroundings.
TreeHouse Point is the passion project of Pete and July Nelson. Pete has the skills to build the structures, while Judy excels at cooking and hosting. Both have a love of nature that made the project ideal for them.
In 2004, they bought four acres and began work on their treehouses. Shortly after making the purchase, the couple took a walk through the woods at night. Moonlight fell on a Sitka spruce, and Pete decided to place their first treehouse in that tree. Called the Temple of the Blue Moon, the project was begun in 2005 and finished in 2006. Since then, Pete and his crew have built another six treehouses at the site. The latest, Ananda, which is wheelchair accessible, was finished in 2021.
Now, TreeHouse Point is open for a tour, which is scheduled for Monday, November 21, from 12:15 pm until 1:15 pm. The address is 6922 Preston-Fall City Road Southeast in Issaquah. When events like these are planned, organizers can work with flyer printing to create a map for those attending.
