Families, friends, and fans of Lego products should plan to be in Issaquah for an upcoming event.
The inaugural Lego Expo is a one-day event that will give hobbyists a chance to display the models they have created, while local sellers will be able to offer both used and new products to potential buyers. In addition, an expert Lego builder will attend, bringing supplies with which to create a huge hands-on space. The Highlands Fiber Network is sponsoring the build, and a project that enthusiasts can build and take home for free will also be offered.
The Issaquah event was inspired by Seattle’s BrickCon Lego Expo, held annually. The Issaquah event is meant to bring fans together and give youngsters a hands-on fun day that will help keep them active and engaged during the summer. Enthusiasts are invited to bring their builds to the event to display them.
Lego is based in Denmark, and began manufacturing its popular colorful construction blocks in 1949. Since then, it is thought that over 600 billion parts of Lego have been produced and circulated around the world.
The Lego Expo is scheduled for June 4 at Blakely Hall, located at 2550 NE Park Drive in Issaquah Highlands. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create instruction sheets, as well as listing the builds on display.
