The Downtown Issaquah Association has put an event on the schedule that should scare everyone to death.
The city is bracing for an influx of zombies, who will slink along Front Street, tapping on the windows of restaurants, shops, and cars, startling those inside—but all in the name of fun.
Residents have their choice of joining the undead, or following them to watch as they dance down Front Street to Michael Jackson's megahit “Thriller,” or do the “Time Warp” again. Although the event is billed as a flash mob, a lot of planning is going into the day.
The schedule starts at 12:30 pm, when a team to do make-up starts setting up. The make-up experts will be available from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm for those who need help. Make-up sessions lasting ten minutes are $10, cash only, and are limited to the first 100 zombies.
From 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm, the zombies will practice the dances with an instructor, after which, from 4:30 until 5:00 pm, the Zombie Crawl will take place. From 5:00 pm until 5:30 pm, the zombies will dance at City Hall.
For the rest of the evening, there will be lots of fun, with special drinks and food for zombies, plus prizes for the best child, adult, and family zombie costumes.
The date of the Zombie Crawl is October 24, and banner printing can provide colorful decorations for events like this.
