The second location in Washington state of the Corner Bakery recently opened at the Trails at Silverdale.
At the grand opening ceremony, the first 100 customers were eligible to receive free coffee for a year. Weekly drawings will also be held so that those who enter can receive free breakfast for a year.
According to the vice-president of operations in Seattle for the Corner Bakery, Jayson Levich, featured on the menu are hot breakfast items, made-to-order sandwiches and paninis, pasta dishes, and freshly baked desserts. Signature menu items include Chicken Pomodori Panini, the Trio Salad, and Cinnamon Crème Cake. Levich added that he found it exciting to become a part of this established local community.
Tikwila is the location of another Corner Bakery in the Southcenter Mall. Also planned for a fall opening is a third eatery in Washington in Issaquah and an additional 16 new stores over the next five years in the Northwest.
The chain started in 1991 in Chicago as a bakery making desserts and artisan breads by hand using only fresh ingredients. Guests then asked for sandwiches made with the bread, and requests for additional menu items followed, specializing in prepared-to-order food.
The planned Corner Bakery in Issaquah might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to advertise its coming to the city by means of Banners and Flyers circulated throughout the community.
