IT training course set for Federal Way

A course for beginners in web development will be held in Federal Way.

The Full Stack Developer-1 Training course will present material to anyone interested in learning this aspect of web development. The material will be presented over four weekends, with each weekend devoted to a pair of two-hour sessions, for a total of 16 hours.

A full stack developer is someone who has general knowledge across many different technologies, and also has specialized knowledge in one or two areas. The individual can handle the “full stack,” which is a jargonistic term for the entire process of building a website. The person is familiar with the “front end” of the site, which is how the site appears in various browsers and mobile devices. A front-end developer will know languages such as CSS, HTML and JavaScript.

The other part of the equation is the back-end developer. Processes most usually associated with this position are the recollection, editing and updating, and creation of data. Here, the languages used are often Python, Ruby, and PHP. A back-end developer will use them to create algorithms to manipulate date received from the front end. A full stack developer can handle all of these tasks.

The course is broken down into 51 separate sections. Handouts, training materials, and exercises reflecting real life problems will be part of the course. The training takes place February 6 to February 28. Print shops can help create materials for courses like this.
