Federal Way museum features bonsai beauty

Bonsai is an ancient artform that recreates that natural word in miniature, and a Federal Way museum dedicated to the practice has a special event in the works for this September.

The Pacific Bonsai Museum’s Board of Directors has cordially invited the public to be part of one of its signature events. It is scheduled for the former headquarters of the Weyerhaeuser Corporation, and its program is filled with a variety of activities.

The three-hour fundraiser will see bonsai fans and other home horticulturalists treated to live music and other entertainment, and there will be an assortment of light bites served to the crowd. Drinks are also on the menu, and everyone can meet other enthusiasts and be inspired by the various bonsai displays. A live paddle-style auction will add an extra dash of excitement.

A fundraising event often does double duty by raising awareness as well as money, and organizers may choose to call on the local business community for sponsorships and other support. One way they can help is by donating Corporate Gifts in kind, which may be used as auction items or draw prizes.

The Pacific Bonsai Museum has scheduled its Branch Out event for Sunday, September 28. The doors will open at 1:00 pm, and its registration system is still open at the time of writing.
