Fall can be a great time of the year to install perennials, shrubs and trees in the home garden, and a Federal Way plant sale may help area gardeners add to their personal plantings.
The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden will be celebrating autumn with its Fall Foliage Festival and Plant Sale. Admission will be free, and it will have educational, horticulturally themed fun for all ages.
The public that drops by can enjoy garden tours that will showcase the venue’s rhodo, azalea and other collections, and there will be expert led plant talks for anyone interested in adding some new knowledge to their skill set. There will be plenty of fall photo ops, and food will be available for purchase. The kids can try their luck in a scavenger hunt, and everyone can shop in the pop-up plant market, which will be the venue’s biggest sale this year. The Rutherford Conservatory terrace will boast vendors offering their own cultivated collections for home horticulturalists on the hunt for something special.
Public gardens, arboretums and similar venues may host annuals markets or other sales to help fund their activities. A poster printing company can help to get the word out, and can also prepare custom signage, vendor packages and other materials.
The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden will be wrapping up the gardening year with its foliage festival and sale on November 8th and 9th. Both days will be open from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
