The Viking Run will be taking place in Everett this August, bringing together runners to challenge themselves at a variety of distances.
The run will take place on a dedicated trail designed to allow runners to race strategically. Participants can choose to run anywhere from a mile to a half-marathon, with 5, 10, and 15-kilometer distances also available by running the track multiple times. There will be prizes given to the fastest male and female runners at each distance. However, the race also invites people who want to walk or tackle the distance at their own pace, and everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a commemorative medal.
Road races and other athletic events often provide custom Promotional Products or Apparel to give participants something to remember their achievement by. Participants are also encouraged to wear a costume for the race, with a prize awarded for the best costume at the starting line. The event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, with participants able to earn points towards a year-end championship in their age group. However, club membership or participation in previous event series is not required to enter the Viking Run.
The Viking Run will take place in Everett on the morning of August 17 at Lowell Riverfront Park in Everett. Runners must register in advance.
