The Skate America competition will be coming to Everett in November, bringing some of the world’s top figure skaters to town.
The event is part of the ISU Grand Prix, with top finishers earning points to qualify for the Grand Prix Finals in December. Among the selected American competitors will be World Champion and record-setter Ilia Malinin, current US champion Amber Glenn, and two-time Olympian Jason Brown. The field will also include fan favourite Mexican skater Donovan Carillo and top pairs and ice dance duos.
The competition will include short programs and free skates for men’s and women’s singles, ice dance, and pairs, with a compact field for dynamic two-hour events. The weekend’s events will also begin with an official practice that is open to the public. Tickets are available for individual sessions as well as the whole weekend.
This will be the first time Skate America is hosted in the Pacific Northwest since 2018. The event was originally scheduled for October but later moved to its current November date. Sporting events like this one typically use methods like poster printing and local media to help connect with fans and curious community members.
The 2026 edition of Skate America will take place at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett from November 12 to 15. The competition will be aired on NBC, Peacock and NBCSN.
