Summerfest Family Fun is an outdoor event at the Evergreen Arboretum, a premier public garden in Everett, Washington.
As part of the American Legion Memorial Park, the 3.5-acre venue features diverse species of flora, gravel paths, iconic sculptures, paved open colonnades, and pristinely manicured lawns. Here, children will learn about nature, climate change, and other topics under the guidance of educators from the Imagine Children's Museum.
This outdoor funfair will also bring families, youth-serving organizations, and community organizations based in Washington together through an array of fun activities and projects. The renowned artist Vickie Stokes will also facilitate a nature-themed painting contest among teens.
Contests are an ideal opportunity to give away relevant prizes, which can range from small gifts like keychains or promotional Pens, to larger gifts like branded clothing.
In addition to having fun with their kids, parents and other grownups will enjoy an interactive bilingual music session led by the talented guitarist Marco Cortes.
The Everett Arboretum also hosts regular plant sale events to help avid gardeners learn more about different plant species and improve their gardens.
The Summerfest Family Fun event is set for Saturday, 20th July, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Note that bikes, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed on the arboretum grounds. Attendees are advised to leash and clean up after any pets they bring to the venue.
