The city of Monroe is hosting two quilting shows this spring, which are sure to attract fans of the art from all over Snohomish County.
The first show, which is being held this month, is the 34th annual Quilters Anonymous Quilt Show. With this year’s theme being ‘Quilts under Northwest Skies’, more than 500 quilts are expected to be on display. There will be demonstrations of quilting, a range of vendors, and the opportunity to create blocks for a charity quilt. The featured artist for the show will be Arlene Strong.
Coming up in April, ‘35 Years of Bee-utiful Quilts’ is the annual show of the Busy Bee Quilters Guild. There will be classes, a raffle, and a grand quilt challenge. Awards will be handed out in various categories, including the Viewers’ Choice. Vendors will also be on hand to sell quilts and accessories, and there will be a treasure hunt for the kids.
No doubt both of these shows will be advertised in nearby communities such as Everett in order to attract more visitors. Local Print companies may be asked to provide products like Flyers.
