Holiday exhibition opens in Everett

The Schack Art Center in Everett has opened its holiday exhibition, slated to run to January showcasing local artists and artisans.

The Exhibition features a variety of regional ceramic, glass, jewellery and wood work available for purchase, aimed at those looking for a unique holiday gift. Items will be at a 10% discount on Thursdays. The Exhibition will also feature the show Celebration of Nature by the Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists, a 96-year-old group that aims to promote visual art. The exhibit will include paintings, sculpture, and other visual art that channel the natural world. Promotional material for the show highlights the themes:

“Nature, our environment, and climate are all around us changing, adapting, and growing. The momentary seasonal changes in our surroundings we experience every year are the essence of this show.”

The event was officially launched with an artist reception on November 21. The show is installed and co-ordinated by Jules Anslow and Diane Sarr. The Shack Gallery will also celebrate the holiday season with a number of seasonal workshops and lessons throughout the month of December. Exhibits like this often feature a variety of art Forms ranging from banner printing to mixed media, with the goal of highlighting local creativity.

The Shack Art Center’s Holiday Exhibition will run until January 4, 2025 at the Center’s Main and Mezzanine Gallery.
