Ace Frehley, known best as the lead guitarist and a co-founder of the band Kiss, will visit Everett for a performance in April, hosted by the Historic Everett Theatre.
Frehley played with Kiss starting from its beginning in 1973 until his departure in 1982. He is credited with creating the band’s lightning bolt logo and the persona of the Spaceman. For the latter, he used a white makeup design with two black stars over the eyes. In addition, he wrote several songs for the band.
After his split with Kiss, he performed with his own band, Frehley’s Comet, until rejoining the group for a brief reunion tour. Since then, he has released several solo albums. His most recent album is Origins Vol 2, which he released in 2020.
As a guitarist, most know Frehley for an aggressive yet melodic style of playing, using several special effects. These include a custom Les Paul guitar that emits light and a Gibson that produces smoke.
The Frehley concert will take place on the evening of Friday, April 29, opening at 7:00 pm.
