The city of Everett is set to host the Bee Gees tribute band Bee Gees Gold next month.
The band attempts to recreate how the famous pop brothers looked and sounded in the ‘60s and ‘70s perfectly. The vocalists of the group perform hits such as “Massachusetts” and “Stayin' Alive” while backed by a live band. The vocalists are John Acosta (who portrays Barry Gibb), Daryll Borgs (Robin Gibb), and Jeff Celetano (Maurice Gibb).
The band will be performing in the Historic Everett Theatre, which has existed in Everett since 1901. It opened its doors first as the Everett Opera House to feature vaudeville shows and legitimate theater. It survived a fire, the Great Depression, and the rise of television to be rescued by the Historic Everett Theater Preservation Society. After much remodeling and updating of its technologies, the theater once again became viable for hosting acts and began doing so.
The Bee Gees Gold performance will take place on Saturday, December 11 from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The Historic Everett Theater itself can be found at 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $30, $35, and $40.
