The Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) in Everett is currently accepting donations for its Baby Boutique. The shop provides valuable supplies to new and expecting parents in the community.
The boutique is open by appointment only for all patients of the PRC, who have points to redeem for the merchandise. Points are earned by attending any of the Expecting Miracle’s classes (80 points), by having an ultrasound at the clinic (15 points), and for attending a minimum of three of the support groups available for new mothers (15 points).
Donations of new and gently used maternity clothing, baby clothing for both boys and girls, toys, washcloths, and bibs are appreciated. Other items accepted include bassinets, strollers, and baby swings or bouncers, although these must have been purchased within the last five years and remain in good, clean condition. Only brand-new breast pumps, car seats, and cribs will be accepted. Diapers and wipes are urgently needed at this time.
The PRC provides free testing services, including pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. The clinic also offers free classes, and information about healthy pregnancy and childcare. Brochure printing may be used to provide materials for class attendees to take home. The Baby Boutique was started as a way of reducing the cost of pregnancy and childcare, for those in need of help.
PRC patients should visit the Eventbrite website to reserve their 30-minute shopping session at the Baby Boutique. Most of the donated goods are available for one point per item, with products varying in availability based on the donations received by the clinic. The shop is located at 4310 Hoyt Avenue, and appointments are available on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
