Everett ready for Sorticulture Festival

The city of Everett is gearing up for the upcoming Sorticulture Garden Arts Festival. This outdoor shopping event will be held at Downtown Everett to celebrate the best parts of outdoor living in the Pacific Northwest. As such, it’s regarded as the premier festival to buy and learn about local plants, flowers, garden art, and other handmade outdoor decoration products.

The shopping route for the festival will make a thunderbolt shape, with shoppers starting their trip from Colby, all the way to Hewitt. Then, they will go south to Hoyt along Everett Avenue before completing the trip on Pacific Avenue in the middle of downtown.

In addition to shopping, participants will learn more about plants and gardening at the Schack Art Center. There will also be kid-friendly activities on Saturday and Sunday hosted by Everett Public Library. Some of the activities include free face painting, gardening, and story time.

It’s organized by Visit Everett, the official tourism guide of Everett, Washington, in partnership with local businesses and organizations. Some of these organizations include the Everett Music Initiative, which will be hosting the beer garden and providing music, and Heritage Portable Buildings, along with Grand Leader Mercantile, who will host the “Me Shed.” Sorticulture vendors can also work with local banner printing companies to create Banners and displays for their booths.

The Everett Sorticulture Festival is a three-day event from Friday, June 7th at 7.10 a.m. to Sunday, June 9th at 4.00 p.m.
