The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a program that works to increase literacy, and it will soon be on offer for Everett families.
Mariner Library will be hosting an information session about the initiative, and parents and caregivers are encouraged to stop by so they can learn more. The United Way of Snohomish County will be on hand to help the families sign up, and the activity will be offered free of charge.
During the event, the attendees will find out how it works to foster a love of reading by supplying kids under five with a free book once each month. These will be sent out through the mail directly to the children, so they will be able to enjoy the experience of receiving a package in the mail just for them. There will be samples of the Books distributed on hand for the registrants to view at the session. Refreshments will be served, and the parents can ask any questions they have.
One of the roles often undertaken by a library is to increase literacy in their community. A poster printing company can help get the word out about its programming.
This introduction to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library initiative will begin at 6:30 pm on September 19th. The library is located at 520 128th Street.
