Everett’s popular garden art festival Sorticulture is returning this June, aiming to highlight gardening products and skills.
The free three-day festival describes itself as the premier garden festival in the Pacific Northwest. It will take place outdoors in downtown Everett and features vendor booths by local artists and artisans, including over 120 nurseries and garden artists offering plants to take home. There will also be educational events and classes to help out the home gardener, including a presentation by “gardening superhero” Ciscoe Morris. Other class titles include “Down to Earth Community Gardens” and “Grow a Garden in a Pot.”
The event will also feature everything typically associated with a summer festival, including a stage of live entertainment and a wine and beer garden hosted by the Everett Music Initiative. There will also be food vendors throughout the area, and a plant clinic hosted by the WSU Snohomish County Master Gardeners to help any visitors who may be fearing they have a brown thumb. The event will be using poster printing to create free collectible Posters designed by local artist Sarah Robbins.
The 2025 edition of Sorticulture will take place in downtown Everett, from June 6 to 8 with classes taking place at the Historic Everett Theatre. Everett Transit will be providing a shuttle service to and from the festival grounds.
