Everett eager for plant sale

The Everett Master Gardener Foundation is gearing up for its annual Plant Sale.

The fundraiser features a wide variety of plants, as well as special gifts and souvenirs.

The event is the largest source of funding for the Master Gardener Foundation. The nonprofit group consists of 373 expert horticulturists that support the WSU Master Gardener Program. Their focus is on public education and maintenance of demonstration gardens.

The sale this year will have more than 8,000 starters available for purchase for people looking to plant herbs, vegetables, and tomatoes. Many different varieties of trees, berries, and shrubs will also be available, as well as heritage plants. This will be combined with some demonstrations and informational Brochures to help even the brownest thumb keep the plants thriving.

Special vendors will also be at the event offering fresh produce, gifts, and garden art. A Master Gardener craft booth will also be set up at the sale, as well as a section for garden path decoration and greenery.

The Master Gardener Foundation Plant Sale will be held on May 7 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at McCollum Park, located at 600 128 St. Attendance is free to the public. Anyone interested in attending or looking for a full list of plants and vendors available should check the Flyers or visit the website for more info.
