From arts and crafts enthusiasts to those looking to try something new, everyone ages 12 and up will be welcome to a frame loom weaving workshop this November.
Taught by Mia Hanson, instructor and enthusiast of the weaving technique, the event will take place at the Schack Art Center in Everett, aka 'The Schack'.
As stated on The Schack' s website, students of the class will learn some basic weaving skills specifically designed for use on a frame loom, but that can be applied to other weaving methods.
They will also be taught the techniques for finishing and mounting an eight-inch wall hanging in their chosen style (dowel rod or otherwise) once their artwork is completed.
For the $110 fee, guests will receive all the necessary art supplies, which include a weaving needle, a loom as well as its tools, and a bundle of yarns that are color coordinated and can be used by beginner weavers. Teachings will include an hour-long demo by the instructor, an instruction session, and plenty of time for questions.
