Everett admires holiday art exhibit

The Holiday Art Exhibit is already underway in Everett, Washington. Featuring a large selection of surrounding artists, the exhibition promises a wide array of paintings and art for the local community to enjoy.

The holiday exhibit is held every year with a different theme, with this year’s focus on two dimensional works. Over 50 artists’ works will be featured as part of the event. There will also be a large selection of pottery and glass. The works will be take up an entire gallery and will run for the remainder of the holiday season. The artists featured are all members of the Seattle Co-Arts art cooperative.

Seattle Co-Arts has been active in the region for the last 64 years. The group started as a nonprofit with the intent of educating the community and bringing art to the people. Today, the group has over 150 members and serves as a forum for local artists to meet and expand their love and capabilities with art in all its Forms. The main goals of the group are to encourage creativity and artistic development, offer educational opportunities, present members’ works to the public, encourage interest in the arts, and support groups that further arts appreciation.

The Everett Holiday Art Exhibit will run until December 24 at the Schack Art Center located at 2921 Hoyt Ave in Everett. Those interested in visiting the exhibition should visit the website or read the informational Brochures for details.
