The 11th annual Mother of All Garage Sales, returns to the city of Everett this summer. The 2020 event was cancelled due to Covid-19.
This year’s event will feature over 100 homes hosting an outdoor sale. Participating households must be within the specified boundaries of east of Broadway Street, north of Legion Park, west of Grand Avenue and south of 19th Street. Residents may register to sell items by July 23 for $25. The first 100 houses to signup will receive a free garage sale yard sign.
The event also includes several food trucks, located at the Drew Nielsen Neighborhood Park. Attendees will also find an information station at the park, where printed maps of participating homes will be made available. Other conveniences will include garbage and recycling centers, and use of the public washrooms.
Each year the event is sponsored by local businesses, including Lamoureux Real Estate, the Valley Organic Deli, Bayside Bikes, and Major League Pizza. Sponsors will have information booths at the park, and may distribute Promotional Products during the event.
The garage sale is organized each year by Northwest Neighborhood committee. Proceeds from the sale are put back into the community during the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the volunteer recognition party, and various projects in support of local schools.
The 2021 Mother of All Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, August 7 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Drew Nielsen Park is located at 1230 Colby Avenue. The event is free to attend.
