Classes offered for teens and adults in Everett

The Schack Arts Center offers crafts and art classes for teens and adults over the next few weeks, featuring basket weaving, bead making, landscape and botanical drawing, illustration, watercolor, acrylic, and drawing for kids.

On February 9 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Continuing Lampwork Glass Beading will be offered. Students should have taken a beginner course, and learn torch and shaping skills. All supplies are included.

Landscape and Botanical Painting will be held February 25 to April 5 on Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Ages 15 and up are welcome. The class teaches student to draw scenes using different media.

Graphic design aficionados may be interested in Drawing I, which will be offered from February 25 to April 1 from 6:30 to 8:45 pm. Students 15 years and older are welcome. In the class, participants learn to draw animals, landscapes, and flowers.

Beginning Watercolor classes will run from Feb 21 to April 5 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Ages 15 and up can attend, and can learn about brush techniques, color, and drawing techniques.

Into to Needle Felting will be held February 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Student will create wool beads and small figures. Materials for all these classes are provided.

Ceramic Animal Planters will be held on February 17 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm for ages eight and up. Guests will learn clay techniques and make animal-themed planters.

Registration is required for all classes, and the art center is located on 2921 Hoyt Avenue. Parking is available in the Evergreen Parking Garage.
