The popular Christmas rock band Mannheim Steamroller will visit Everett, WA in December. This year, the band will be celebrating the recent 35th anniversary of its first Christmas album and tour.
Mannheim Steamroller is the brainchild of the Grammy Award Winning artist Chip Davis. He first got his start creating ad campaigns that featured a fictional truck driver, C.W. McCall. Singles and albums followed and the success of these allowed Davis to focus on his own music. Out of this came Mannheim Steamroller, the style of which was a mixture of pop, rock, and classical.
After a few albums, Davis had the idea to remix Christmas classics with the Mannheim Steamroller style. Out of this, a massively successful phenomenon was born. Both of the band's first Christmas albums, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas and A Fresh Aire Christmas achieved six-time platinum status. There are now two troupes traveling across America to perform in over 90 cities every year. In addition, the over 35 years and counting of touring have made Mannheim Steamroller's music tour the longest consecutive one in the US.
The Mannheim Steamroller concert will take place on December 16 at 7:30 pm at 2000 Hewitt Avenue, the location of the Angel of the Winds Arena. Venues such as this one can use flyer printing services to help promote events such as concerts.
