Caf Zippy reveals January schedule

Café Zippy in Everett continues with poetry night, comedy improv, and musical entertainment in late winter. Café Zippy promotes the arts with a variety of activities.

Everett Poetry Night will be held on January 2, 9, and 16 from 6:30 to 8:45 pm. On January 2, C.C. Hannett will read poetry and musical guest Eric Kosarot will play. C.C. Hannett has published chapbook and a poetry book called Triune.

On January 9, poet Leah Muller will read. Her recent Books are “Death and Heartbreak” and “Misguided Behavior.” On January 16, Steve K. Bertrand – a well-known historian, poet, Everett teacher, and photographer – will be the special guest.

On January 4 at 5:00 pm, folk singer Jim Page will entertain. He has recorded over 22 albums. January 10, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Killingworth, a singer-songwriter who combines poetry and the ukulele, will play.

Lucas Victor, a classical guitarist, will perform on January 12 at 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with music from Argentina, Spain and Europe.

Blue Healers will play on January 17 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. They were named the Best Blues Band by the Seattle Weekly.

Finally, Improv Comedy will be January 18 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm with Jet City Improv. Printers design and provide flyer printing for events like this.

Café Zippy serve organic teas, coffee, espresso, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. It is located at 1502 Rucker Avenue.
