The Schack Art Center in Everett will have an art show and holiday craft classes over the festive season.
The Holiday Art Exhibit features over 70 regional artists, the Colored Pencil Society of America, and crafts. Free to attend, most classes are for 18 years and older.
A Fused Cookie Ornament Class will be held on December 1 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Students will learn about fusing and decorating precut ornaments.
On December 3 to January 7, every Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Beginning/Intermediate Silversmithing will run. Students will learn to make jewelry from metal, sheet, and wire. They will learn to forge, solder, and how to set stones in jewelry.
Intro to Flameworking In Borosilicate Simple Ornaments will be held on December 7 from noon to 4:00 pm. Ages 16 and up are welcome, and can learn how to melt glass to make simple shapes for ornaments using special tools.
Attendees can create a Fused Penguin Plate on December 8 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Students will make an eight-inch curved plate with snow and a penguin using fused glass.
Paper Star Lights is for kids 12 and over on December 8 from 1-4 pm. Students will learn to make 3D paper star lanterns from patterns, and how to cut them to hang on the tree.
The Schack Art Center is located at 2921 Hoyt Avenue, and its Holiday Art Exhibit will run from December 1 to January 5. Printers often provide Logo Design for organizations like this.
