Two events with Halloween themes have been scheduled for Downtown Camas for October.
The three-hour 18th Annual Pumpkin Pageant and PIXAR Costume Contest will include a pumpkin carving/decorating component. Local businesses will display carved or decorated pumpkins and passers-by may vote for their favorites. Voters' names will be entered into a raffle to receive fall-themed prizes.
Those attending the event are encouraged to come dressed in their best PIXAR costumes and enter the PIXAR costume contest. Prizes will go to adult and children first and second best costumes. There will also be a prize for best group costumes.
Costume entries must sign up in Journey, 304 NE 4th between 5:00 pm and 6:45 pm with the contest beginning at 7:00 pm.
Other activities will include PIXAR photo opportunities, live music around town and festive dining and shopping.
Many parents often take the photos taken at Halloween photo booths at events like this to local Stationery printers and have custom Halloween cards and/or notecard sets made.
The Pumpkin Pageant and PIXAR Costume Contest will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, October 4th.
The 2024 Boo Bash will be the Downtown Camas trick-or-treating event. Local businesses will be giving Halloween prizes and candy to costumed children and parents as they parade from business to business. Boo Bash 2024 will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on October 23rd.
