Bellingham is having a party and inviting everyone to enjoy themselves.
The Fairhaven Festival takes place in the Fairhaven area of Bellingham, and is a street fair that lasts all day. The event is suitable for people of all ages, and features non-profit vendors, retailers, artists, karaoke, a beer garden, children’s activities, ethnic foods, and live music.
Businesses in Fairhaven will be open for people to shop, and restaurants will be open for lunch and dinner. Spectators who are interested in watching the kayak portion of the Ski to Sea race can stroll from Fairhaven to Marine Park to view the event.
Live entertainment will appear on two stages, and there will also be face painting, a kids’ area, face painting, and pony rides. The bands at the event will be The Atlantics, Cozmic Sauce, and North Sound Soul, and there will be 12 food vendors. Cozmic Sauce is based in the Pacific Northwest, and has a strong horn section. North Sound Soul is a Bellingham-based rock/funk/soul band with nine members.
Fairhaven Festival is May 26, from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, at 1000 11th Street in Bellingham. The event is free to everyone, and a crowd of 25,000 is anticipated. Organizers of such events will often use flyer printing to create a handout for attendees, listing the timing of the entertainment, as well as the names and locations of vendors.
