Albertsons Companies recently decentralized its 15 core Haggen Northwest Fresh stores in western part of Washington State.
According to John Clougher, the General Vice President and Manager of Haggen, Haggen was founded in 1933 in Bellingham and will remain in the Northwest. The stores offer high quality fresh and local products, supporting regional ranches, farms, and fisheries so as to maintain a sustainable local economy.
He added that the stores will also maintain its exceptional customer service and to evolve and invest in the local community.
Under this new organization, local operators will be able to make their own decisions backed by the scale of a large company. Many respectable stores with high quality reputations have resulted from this strategy and many other brands are beginning to join the Albertsons Companies, including Star Market, Jewel-Osco, Acme and the United Family of Supermarkets.
The Chairman and CEO of Albertsons, Bob Miller, added that the company will continue to invest in the Haggen’s brand and its stores and continue to grow in the Pacific Northwest. The brand shares many values of the company, which includes offering high-quality fresh, local products and exceptional service.
Albertsons might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to disseminate this news in the Bellingham area and let customers become aware of the benefits of this new organization for their shopping needs.
