Festival welcomes guests from across North America

At the end of the month, the 3rd annual International Arts and Music Festival is taking place for three days in Blaine.

There will be artisans on hand to sell paintings, fine jewelry, fused glass, pottery, ceramics, and other handmade items. Some of the artists taking part this year will include Jerry Hill, Sylvia Haden, Kay Dee Powell, and Brian Reed. Many of the artists will be giving public demonstrations.

There will also be gourmet food for sale and a beer and wine garden, and Cafe Rumba will be selling a variety of snacks and beverages too. There is set to be a Qijong (Chinese healing) demonstration presented by the Blaine Taiji-Sitan Wushu Center NW, along with cooking classes from local chefs and various other activities.

Musical performances will be taking place at the festival on all three days, and those confirmed to appear at this year's festival include J.P. Falcon Grady, Lord Knapp, Tiller's Folly, and Millie and the Mentshn.

Guests are expected to attend from nearby communities such as Bellingham, and from over the Canadian border. To advertise, organizers may have invested in flyer or poster printing services from local Print companies.

The International Arts and Music Festival will be held at Peace Arch State Park from June 26 to 28. Admission is free of charge. To find out more information about the festival, visit the official event website.
