A concert is planned in Bellingham that will please the entire family.
The Franklin Academy is the venue for a Family Outdoor Concert by Dana, who specializes in entertaining children.
Dana Cohenour, known simply as Dana, is a singer/songwriter who focuses on music for children. Six of her recordings have collected a total of 22 awards, as well as winning extensive acclaim from critics. Dana tours throughout the country, performing an interactive, high-energy show for children and their families. She is the creator and host of “Dana's Music Playground,” which shows on her YouTube channel.
Her YouTube channel shows what audiences might expect at a live performance. Dana uses participation, movement, and sign language to introduce early learning concepts to members of her young audiences. She talks about musical instruments, tells goofy jokes, and interacts with a character called “Busy Bee,” who shows up each week bringing a new “Buzz Word.”
The concert is scheduled for September 24, from 5:00 pm until 5:45 pm. Tickets are $10 for a family, or $5 for a family with a student attending The Franklin Academy. Tickets will not be sold at the door, and are available only online. Finally, a family ticket is good for as many as four people. Although Dana's shows are aimed at children from ages 2-8, older children are always welcome. An adult must accompany all children.
