An upcoming Bellingham event will allow people to sample some brews while they raise money for a good cause.
WECU and Max Higbee Center are presenting the Annual Brews Day, which will be the 22nd year this festival has taken place. People will gather in downtown Bellingham to enjoy live music and food available from 10 different food trucks. The highlight of the event is the 65 craft breweries that will be attending, coming from throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The event is a fundraiser for the Max Higbee Center. The center provides support and empowerment to both adults and teens with developmental disabilities. The center’s programs use recreation to help them build health, life skills, happiness, friendships, and community.
Tickets go on sale April 1, and there are both VIP and General Admission spots available. VIP tickets include a commemorative tasting cup made of glass, 10 tickets for tasting, pretzels, and early entry to the venue. General Admission includes a commemorative tasting cup made of stainless steel, eight tickets for tasting, and pretzels.
The event is limited to those 21 and over, and a photo ID and a ticket will be necessary for entry. Organizers do not allow any outside beverages or food, and all Bags may be searched. Participants in outdoor events like this can use banner printing to create identifying signage.
The Brews Day is April 2, from 4.00 pm until 9.00 pm. VIPs will be admitted at 5.00 pm, with General Admission at 6.00 pm.
