A waterfront festival in Bellingham will remind everyone about the city’s history and give them a chance to enjoy seafood at the same time.
The Bellingham SeaFeast is a seafood and waterfront festival that celebrates the city’s maritime heritage and culture, its vital working waterfront, its dedication to the conservation of its water, its commercial seafood and fishing industries, and the fine seafood found in this part of the Pacific Northwest.
The City of Bellingham established the festival, which it presents in conjunction with the Port of Bellingham and the Lummi Nation. It did so because of the increasing interest shown in maritime industries and their economic impact on the region. The first festival was held in 2016, and was originally given a three-year grant.
It is now a registered non-profit that has gained support from both private and public entities in Bellingham itself, Whatcom County, and throughout the region. SeaFeast helps the Port and City of Bellingham continue their work to connect downtown and the waterfront.
Bellingham SeaFeast 2023 is set for October 14 and 15, with activities near Squalicum Harbor, and in Zuanich Point Park. When events such as this are planned in multiple locations, organizers can use flyer or brochure printing to create a handout for attendees, including a schedule and a map.
