The 18th annual Forum Dinner, presented by the Vermont Fresh Network (VFN), is taking place next month in Shelburne.
The main event of the evening will be a grazing dinner of local food from Vermont prepared by over 20 of the state's best chefs. Guests will move from table to table to take what they want.
For an additional fee, Ben Watson, author of ‘Cider hard and sweet: history and traditions’, will be hosting a tasting of hard cider and giving away Copies of his book. Guests will also be able to sample a variety of artisanal food products and enjoy an ice-cream social.
In addition, guests will have a chance to sample heirloom vegetables grown at local farms. There will also be a discussion about the merits of curd with local cheese makers.
It is likely that many of the guests, chefs, and vendors will come from all over the area, including nearby Hinesburg, to attend this local food event. To inform the public about it, organizers may decide to contact their local Print company for help in creating advertising materials.
The dinner is being held at Shelburne Farms on August 3 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $50 for Vermont Fresh Network members or $75 for non-members. There is an additional cost for the Ben Watson tasting of $25 per person, which includes a copy of the author's book.
