The new medical center of Kaiser Permanente on Minnieville Road in Woodbridge is now open.
The medical center spans 240,000 square feet over five stories and cost $200m to construct. The facility includes a pharmacy, surgical suites, an observation unit, and spaces for advanced urgent care. Both primary care doctors and specialists will see patients at the new medical center.
Chair of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, Ann Wheeler, said not only does this new medical center represent a significant investment in the community, but it also brought over 50 high-paying jobs to the community. Many of these jobs often require the need for business card printing services.
Contributing heavily to ensuring the medical center came to fruition was the Prince William County Department of Economic Development. This group was involved in selecting the site and organizing meetings with local officials.
Kenny Boddye, Occoquan District Supervisor, said that the new medical center is a mixed-use community that offers excellent job opportunities and easily accessible commuting options, with many other important amenities. Boddye added that Kaiser Permanente has played an important role in this community so far, having also sponsored a new wellness park, which is off Minnieville Road. This new park has fitness equipment that can be used by people of all abilities and ages.
