Woodbridge and the surrounding areas will flock to nearby Dale City next month for the 4th of July Parade and Family Fun Day.
For over 50 years, the Dale City community has celebrated Independence Day with its popular annual parade and Family Fun Day. This year’s event will carry special significance as it honors the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Poster printing can be used to promote such annual events throughout a town and neighboring communities.
Organizers have announced the theme of the parade and the day, which is “Show Your Spirit for America’s 250th!,” and are encouraging residents and groups to participate with creative entries. Whether marching in a group, building a float, or designing a unique display, participants are invited to showcase their ingenuity and patriotic spirit.
Those interested in marching in the parade are asked to register online. Lineup begins at 8:30 a.m., with the parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. along Dale Boulevard from Kirkdale Drive to Gemini Way. Trophies will be awarded in many categories, such as Judges Trophy, Honor Guard, Marching Band, and Military vehicles, among others, for which sponsorships are being sought.
Spectators are welcome to line the parade route. Following the procession, the community is invited to Family Fun Day in the Gemini Way Virginia Department of Transportation Lot, which will run until 2:00 p.m.
The celebration will take place on Saturday July 4.
